Gallagher House Garden Centre – Open Day

The Annual Open Day at the Garden Centre, Gallagher House, Tubbercurry is taking place on Thursday 11th May 2017 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. A large selection of bedding plants, shrubs etc., available for purchase. Hanging baskets and window boxes made to order.

Refreshments served. All are very welcome and your support is greatly appreciated.

Exploring New Opportunities

Covering various different topics, a Personal Development training course is set to take place at the Enterprise Centre, Tubbercurry on Mon 8th, Tues 9th and Mon 15th May from 10am – 1pm. Topics covered will include: Building confidence and Self Esteem, Dealing with stress, Communication and Assertiveness Skills, Identifying Strengths, Setting Goals, Relaxation exercise. Art Deco Exhibition

An ‘Art Deco’ Exhibition takes place at Tubbercurry Community Library on Friday 12th May, at 7pm. An inspired evening of Architecture and Design of the Art Deco Era from the Paul Hankar Institute of Brussels and in association with the Irish in Europe Association Cultural Exchange Programme. Banada Abbey Senior Football Team Function

Twenty Five Years ago, on 3rd May 1992, Banada Abbey Secondary School Senior Football Team won the All-Ireland Colleges “B” Title when they defeated Edenderry (Offaly) in a replay match in Hyde Park Roscommon.

A function is being organized to celebrate and relive some of the great moments of this magnificent achievement. It will be held in the Yeats County Hotel, Curry on Saturday 3rd June commencing at 8.00pm. A full Buffet meal will be served at 9.00pm sharp and the cost of tickets is €20. Numbers are limited and therefore those wishing to attend the event should contact any of the following as soon as possible, but not later than Friday 19th May. Tubbercurry Women’s Group

Looking for some crafty time? Why not come and join the Tubbercurry Women’s Group. We meet every Wednesday from 5.30pm until 8.30pm at the community room at the Tubbercurry library. We’ll be delighted to see you.

Sligo Cancer Support Centre

There is a facilitated Cancer Support Group on the First Wednesday of every month 8-10pm at 53 Ard Aisling, Tubbercurry, and a facilitated Bereavement Support Group (for anyone who has lost an immediate family member to cancer) on the last Tuesday of every month 8-10pm in the Centre. The Centre relies totally on the generosity of everyone who continues to organise fundraising events and those who give donations. We are eternally grateful and never cease to be amazed at how this selfless generosity continues throughout these difficult trying times. This Centre is not about cancer….it is about Recovery.

Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

Led by Spiritual Director, Fr. Martin Jennings, our pilgrimage to Medjugorje takes place from 27th Sept – 4th Oct 2017. Return flights from Knock, including full religious programme and return airport transfers to Medjugorje. Half board accommodation provided in a private house. Cloonacool Church Renovation Fundraisers

A table quiz in aid of Cloonacool Church Renovation Fund will be held in Brennan’s Lounge Cloonacool on Friday night 12th May with four per table. All townlands are asked to provide a team on the night and your support would be very much appreciated.

A clothes collection will be held on Saturday 27th of May next with all proceeds going to Cloonacool Church Renovation fund. All support for this fund raising drive will be accepted with grateful thanks.

Cloonacool Card Game

Cloonacool Card Game has changed to 9pm each Monday evening in Cloonacool Community Centre. Everyone welcome. Refreshments served.
