North Connaught College, Tubbercurry

Are you an Adult considering a Return to Education or Wishing to Explore a Different Future for Yourself? MSLETB Sligo Adult Guidance in Education Service invites you to our Three-Day Workshop in North Connaught College, Tubbercurry from TUESDAY, 6TH – THURSDAY, 8TH JUNE, 10am-1pm daily. There will also be a Guest Speaker, Bernie Gillespie, who is a “3 Principles” facilitator who works with people to help them connect with their natural sense of worth and peace.

Cloonacool GAA Club

Cloonacool GAA Club are holding a fund raising table quiz in Brennans Lounge Cloonacool on Friday night 9th of June next at 9.30pm sharp. Tables of four at forty euro per table. There will be some nice prizes for the winners and numerous spot prizes during the course of the evening, as well as a prize for the most humorous team name. Parents, players and supporters are asked to come out in force to support the clubs fundraiser.

Sligo Greenway Co-Op

A date for your cycling diary: Sunday 18th June.  Sligo Greenway Co-op will be organising a Greenway for a Day cycle in association with Sligo County Council and Bike Week. More details in the coming weeks.

Sligo Volunteer Centre

‘Sligo Volunteer Centre is hosting their next Volunteer Voices in Cawley’s Hotel, Tubbercurry on Wed, 7 June at 10:30am. Volunteers are invited to share their story/organisation as well as an opportunity to share and record the great stories of volunteering and its impact. This month’s focus is on ‘Volunteering in Active Age’ and everyone is welcome! More details on www.evcsligo.eu.’

Tubbercurry Women’s Group

Looking for some crafty time? Why not come and join the Tubbercurry Women’s Group. We meet every Wednesday from 5.30pm until 8.30pm at the community room at the Tubbercurry library. We’ll be delighted to see you.

Sligo Cancer Support Centre

There is a facilitated Cancer Support Group on the First Wednesday of every month from 8-10pm at 53 Ard Aisling, Tubbercurry, and a facilitated Bereavement Support Group (for anyone who has lost an immediate family member to cancer) on the last Tuesday of every month 8-10pm in the Centre. The Centre relies totally on the generosity of everyone who continues to organise fundraising events and those who give donations. We are eternally grateful and never cease to be amazed at how this selfless generosity continues throughout these difficult trying times. This Centre is not about cancer….it is about Recovery.

Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

Led by Spiritual Director, Fr. Martin Jennings, our pilgrimage to Medjugorje takes place from 27th Sept – 4th Oct 2017. Return flights from Knock, including full religious programme and return airport transfers to Medjugorje. Half board accommodation provided in a private house. Sligo Rose Celebration

An evening in honour of Lisa Maloney (Cloonacool), our beautiful Sligo Rose and Clodagh Gavigan, her Rosebud, has been planned for Friday 16th June at 8.15 pm in Cloonacool Community Centre.  It will be a relaxed social evening with refreshments and a chance to meet Lisa and Clodagh.  There will be a bucket on the night, if people wish to contribute to Lisa’s campaign.  All our welcome.

Cloonacool Card Game

The Cloonacool Card Game takes place at 9 pm each Monday evening in Cloonacool Community Centre.

Moylough National School Junior Entrepreneur Programme

The 5th and 6th class students in Moylough National School have taken part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme 2017. The class selected to produce a board game after all of their ideas were put before the ‘Dragons’ on our Dragon’s Den Day.

The game is called FIT & FUN. It is an exercise game for children and adults to enjoy. The game will be launched and on sale at the showcase day which takes place in Moylough National School on Friday 9th June 2017. All are welcome. Please support our future entrepreneurs!
