Beginners Computer Classes in St. Attracta’s CS
Basic Computer classes will begin on Tuesday 14th Nov. From 4.15 – 6.15pm at St Attracta’s CS, Tubbercurry- places are very limited. Classes are for total beginners and are free. Classes run for 5 Tuesdays. Pre booking essential: 0719120814 or email mroddy@stattractas.ie

Western Drama Festival
The Western Drama Festival committee are busy preparing for the 2017 One Act Drama Festival which runs from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th November. An excellent programme of plays will be on offer, being performed by the top groups in the country. There’s something for everyone so put the dates in your diary. Tickets will be for sale at the door nightly.

Gallagher House
A 25 card drive takes place in Killorans, Tubbercurry on Tuesday night 21st November at 8.30pm. This event is in aid of Gallagher House Christmas Party. There will be a Raffle on the night with Spot Prizes. Single Hands. Refreshments served. Tickets €10 each. All support welcome. Tickets on sale now.

Tea/Coffee Day in AIB Tubbercurry in support of  The Alzheimer Society of Ireland
AIB Tubbercurry are hosting a charity Tea/Coffee Day on Thursday 23rd November from 10am -12.30pm & 1.30-4pm in the branch, supporting The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Drop in for a cuppa and cake and support this charity by purchasing a Memory Ribbon or donating on the day. Come along for a cuppa and raise funds and awareness of a condition affecting so many of our family, friends and neighbours.

Coursing wins for Tubbercurry trained greyhounds
Coursing wins for Tubbercurry trained greyhounds in Ballinagar Co Offaly over the October Bank holiday weekend. The Ougham Kennels managed by Paul, Mickey & Luke Kilcoyne had a big win in Ballinagar Co Offaly over the October Bank holiday weekend when Luke’s bitch Ougham Honey won the prestigious O’Connor Cup a stake for 16 All Age which included 6 trial stake winners and Charlie Faul trained the winner of the Ballinagar working members stake and Troy Cup ” Danneys Lola” for local owner Daniel O’ Connor.

Tubbercurry Writers Group 
The Tubbercurry Creative Writers group meet every Friday in Tubbercurry Library from 11am – 1pm. Everyone welcome.

Tubbercurry Cancer Support Centre, 53 Ard Aisling,Charlestown Road, Tubbercurry.  Tubbercurry Cancer Support Centre is a place of Peace and Hope for people who have or had cancer and their immediate families, providing Holistic Therapies. Counselling, One-one Support, Workshops. The Cancer Support Group meet on the First Wednesday of the Month at 8pm. Drop in Monday-Thursday from 10am – 4pm. Phone 089 4480527

Cloonacool Players Drama Group  
Rehearsals are in full swing at present for this years production of ”Cupid Wore Skirts” by the Cloonacool Players. This is an hilarious three act comedy written by that great northern playwright Sam Cree. It will be performed in Cloonacool Community Centre on the 9th 10th and 11th of February 2018, followed by dates in the Hawks Well Theatre Sligo, Ballina Arts Centre, St. Brigids Hall Tubbercurry and Ballintogher Community Centre. The cast contains the usual mix of local actors which include John McIntyre, Denis Ross, Geraldine Lundy, Laura Mullarkey, Breege Calvey Martin McIntyre, Margaret McIntyre and newcomers Regina Henry and Dara McGarry. The play is produced by Sean Walsh and directed by Tom Towey. Stage manager is Peadar Conway, Set Construction is looked after by Sean Calvey and Alan McKim, stage assistants Sinead Davitt and Agnes Durkin, Sound by Morris Conboy, Lighting is organised by Sean Johnston, Benny Henry and Owen Ross. Props are looked after by Eileen Kirrane, Costumes by Mary Keane and Make-up is by Ann-Marie Conway. Transport is organised by Peadar Conway, John McIntyre and Adrian McIntyre. Anyone wishing to join the group and help out in any way can contact any group member in the coming weeks.

Christmas Market 
A Christmas Market will be held in the CBD Sports Complex Charlestown on Sunday November 26th from 12-4pm. Anyone who would like to book a table contact Caroline 086- 1757719.

Women’s Group 
Looking for some crafty time? Why not come and join the Tubbercurry Women’s Group. We meet every Wednesday from 5.30pm until 8.30pm at the community room at the Tubbercurry library. We’ll be delighted to see you.
