This takes place in St. Attracta’s School, Tubbercurry on Saturday January 31stand a large number of team of 4 players is expected. To mark the 21st Birthday of the Tubbercurry & District Credit Union they hope to revive the pub/club Quiz (which will be a Community Quiz) to celebrate this community occasion. Tubbercurry Active Retirement Association wishes a Happy New Year to all members and friends and will be resuming the usual weekly meetings in the Health Centre on Tuesday, January 20th, at 8 pm. A programme of talks, demonstrations, quizzes, card games, art and crafts etc. will be arranged for our Tuesday meetings and our Exercise programmes in Teach Laighne will commence on Mondays and Thursdays from January 22nd. Interesting outings are being arranged for each month and a 4-day Winter Holiday Break, with entertainment programme, is being booked in the Galway Bay Hotel, starting on March 1st – this is open to all interested in joining us, deposit of €20 required. Dates and venue for our annual Week’s Holiday Trip are now arranged for the first weekend in June and, following our very enjoyable trip to West Cork in 2013, we will this year visit the East Cork/Waterford area – all travel, coach trips, half-board accommodation etc being included in the very economic price of €425 . A deposit of €50 is required and bookings have already started!
