South Sligo Tourism

South Sligo Tourism are hosting a Networking Event on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 7p.m. (sharp) in An Chroi South Sligo Enterprise Centre in Tubbercurry. South & West Sligo just could be the best kept secret in the Northwest, as we all know there’s a surprising amount to see and do in this scenic area. The challenge is to let people know about it. This event will bring like-minded Tourism related business in the region together. Don’t let your business miss out. St. Attracta’s CS – Basic Computer Classes

Gallagher House

A 25 card drive takes place in Killorans, Tubbercurry on Tuesday night 21st November at 8.30pm. This event is in aid of Gallagher House Christmas Party. There will be a Raffle on the night with Spot Prizes. Single Hands. Refreshments served. Tickets €10 each. All support welcome. Tickets on sale now.

Famine Commemorative Walk” DVD

Proceeds from ‘The Famine Commemorative Walk’ DVD which was sold in various outlets in the town raised €585, which has been donated to Concern in aid of the East Africa Famine Relief Appeal. The Famine Commemorative Walk was an event organised for the Tubbercurry 600 Celebration in May 1997

Tea/Coffee Day in AIB Tubbercurry in support of  The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

AIB Tubbercurry are hosting a charity Tea/Coffee Day on Thursday 23rd November from 10am -12.30pm & 1.30-4pm in the branch, supporting The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Drop in for a cuppa and cake and support this charity by purchasing a Memory Ribbon or donating on the day. Come along for a cuppa and raise funds and awareness of a condition affecting so many of our family, friends and neighbours.

Tubbercurry Writers Group

The Tubbercurry Creative Writers group meet every Friday in Tubbercurry Library from 11am – 1pm. Everyone welcome.

Tubbercurry Cancer Support Centre is a place of Peace and Hope for people who have or had cancer and their immediate families, providing Holistic Therapies. Counselling, One-one Support, Workshops. John Mullaney, Memorial Mass

The recent death occurred in Scotland of John Mullaney, late of Teeling Street, Tubbercurry. A month’s mind Memorial Mass takes place on Sunday 26th November at the 9am Mass in St. John Evangelist Church, Tubbercurry. Friends, team mates, neighbours and acquaintances can attend, and hopefully meet his wife and family.
