Adult Education at St Attracta’s

Free Computer classes for beginners will be held every Tuesday evening for 5 weeks starting Tuesday Oct 10th until Nov 14th from 6.30 to 8.30pm. Ring 071 9120814 or email mroddy@stattractas.ie for details.

Western Drama Festival

The Western Drama Festival committee lare busy preparing for the 2017 One Act Drama Festival which runs from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th November. An excellent programme of plays will be on offer, being performed by the top groups in the country. There’s something for everyone so put the dates in your diary.

South Sligo Athletic Club

South Sligo athletic club junior training is back in action every Tuesday evening under the watchful eye of our trainer Dermot McDermott and our very own coaches. Training takes place in St. Attracta’s hall for 6,7,8 year olds 6.30-7.15 pm and 9 years plus 7.15-8 pm. Senior training is also every Tuesday evening meeting at the FRC car park at 8:30pm. Club members also meet every Thursday evening and Saturday mornings for training sessions to cater for all abilities. Rock Gig

Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA are thrilled to announce the confirmation of an event sure to have a huge appeal near and far. ‘TubbeRocks’, A major rock gig headlining the superb talents of Sligo musicians, Shane McGowan, Seamie O’Dowd, Kieran Quinn, Ken McDonald and Donal Cunnane will take place in St. Brigid’s Hall, Tubbercurry on Friday, October 27th. This brilliant band of legends are widely renowned and tickets are sure to be in great demand. The support acts have been announced as Lana Moore, Daragh McDonagh, Colin Marren and Fergus McGowan. All proceeds go towards the Nace O’Dowd Park development fund. So save the date and be sure not to miss out. Late bar on the night. Tickets, at €15, are now available from event organizers and from Micky Macs Bar, ComputerBits, Homeland Achonry, O’Grady’s Coolaney and Anderson’s Bar Sligo. Booking early is advisable.

North Connaught College

Table Quiz

A table quiz in aid of St. George’s Church Funds will be held in John Brennan’s Lounge, Cloonacool, on Saturday, 21st. October at 8.30pm. €40 per table of four

The Beezneez Theatre Company

The Beezneez theatre company present ”an Ordinary Man” with accomplished actor Gerry Farrell in a one man comedy show, written by that well known popular playwright and noted director John McDwyer. This show comes to Cloonacool Community Centre on Sunday 22nd October at 8pm, on a first come first served basis. So don’t be late. This is a show that is guaranteed to bring audiences from tears to laughter, as it recounts one man’s journey from the cradle to the grave. A show not to be missed.

Christmas Market

A Christmas Market will be held in the CBD Sports Complex Charlestown on Sunday November 26th from 12-4pm. Anyone who would like to book a table contact Caroline 086- 1757719.

Irish Traditional Music Classes

Classes have resumed in the Family Resource Centre, Tubbercurry, and continue every Monday night with Whistle and Flute for beginners at 6.15pm, and advanced whistle and flute at 7pm. Fiddle Classes at 7.45pm.

Tubbercurry – Card Game

Single hand, 25 card game every Sunday night in St. Brigid’s Hall, Tubbercurry, starting at 8.30am.

Women’s Group

Looking for some crafty time? Why not come and join the Tubbercurry Women’s Group. We meet every Wednesday from 5.30pm until 8.30pm at the community room at the Tubbercurry library. We’ll be delighted to see you.
